This one goes out to Lauren who asked this very useful question that she already knows the answer to.
You're tired and you'd like to go to sleep but what is the best way to accomplish this? First, decide where to sleep (if you are narcoleptic you may not always have a choice). The specific location of where you sleep will depend on where you are. Are you at home? At work? At the beach? The ideal place to sleep is obviously a bed, however a desk or beach towel will work just as nicely if a bed is not handy. Laying down is the most affective way to sleep and will generally ensure a more restful sleep, but sitting up will work in a pinch if you are on an airplane or watching a particularly boring movie at the theater.
Once you are ready to go to sleep:
1) Get comfortable
2) Close your eyes
3) Relax and try not to think about work or other stress-related things
Following these 3 easy steps will help the already tired person to fall asleep, no matter where they are!
